It was just a few months ago that we announced that our first Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar in Georgia was already underway in Statesboro.  Today we are excited to share the news that new franchisees have just committed to bring our Oyster Bar and Sports Pub restaurant franchise to Cumming, GA as well! Please join us in welcoming Michael and Sulyndia Mitchell to "The Shack" franchise family!

1. The Mitchell's were searching for franchise opportunities online and found Shuckin' Shack's restaurant franchise opportunity website.

2. The Mitchell's drove from Cumming to the nearest Shuckin' Shack location, less than two hours away, in Greenville, SC. They loved the simplicity of our business model and the entire Shuckin' Shack experience!

3. The Mitchell's contacted our franchise development team and completed the required steps to be invited to a franchise Discovery Day at our offices in Wilmington, during December of 2017.

4. As part of their due diligence, before signing a franchise agreement, the Mitchell's had conversations and met with several existing Shuckin' Shack franchisees in the Southeast to validate their decision.

5. Yesterday, April 26th, the Mitchell's signed the Shuckin' Shack franchise agreement and started their "Shuck U" training process!

After signing the agreement, Michael Mitchell stated, "It has always been a dream of mine to own my own restaurant. The Shuckin' Shack franchise is the perfect fit for me. I've gone through sales and operations... my whole life has led to this point." For those of you who don't know, Cumming, GA is a booming city and the county seat of Forsyth county - about an hour northeast of Atlanta.  The Mitchell's have also started their site selection process will be looking for a great restaurant space to lease and open later in 2018.  Michael has a long history of experience in the food industry and with national restaurant franchises.
