While "The Shack" opened its first location in 2007, we began franchising a few years ago and are now projected to end 2018 with 20 locations operating in the Southeast. But how do you go from a genuinely interested observer to serious franchise candidate? You receive an exclusive invitation to the franchise Discovery Day we hold once per month. Our next Discovery Day is set for this Friday, March 9th!
Last month we defined the important steps that must be completed to be invited to our private event. We have even shared some photos of past Discovery Days. Today we want to share a typical agenda for our franchise Discovery Day (D-Day) so future attendees know what to expect.
Retail Site Selection: Attendees are informed of the three-step process we use for selecting restaurant locations, are informed about our "treasure maps" while also being introduced to our commercial real estate partners.
Marketing: D-Day Attendees discover our online library of marketing materials available from the day one grand opening to celebrating anniversaries at your restaurant, not to mention all the on-going marketing services our team provides to our franchisees.
Operations: Whether you focus on the front of house or back, our operations people know exactly what it takes to turn a vanilla box to a full Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar experience.
Training: Discovery Day attendees quickly learn that "Shuck U" is a serious training program that starts months before you open your doors and also includes continuing education requirements to make sure that all franchisees operate according to the same expectations that evolve and improve every year.
"The Shack" Experience: While some Discovery Day's might keep franchise prospects stuck in a conference rooms for hours on end, we make sure our attendees experience our restaurants first hand with a visit and tasting within at least one location! Occasionally an existing Shuckin' Shack franchisee will be on-hand to answer questions for our franchise prospects.
