Launching a brand new business is very likely one of the most difficult things any entrepreneur will ever do in their lives. Certainly not as difficult as child birth, but could you imagine attempting to do both; creating a new business and creating a new life? Our Shuckin' Shack team is only too proud to announce that our new Leland franchisees, Sarah & Mike Lookingbill, welcomed their first child into the world on September 29th; Alyvia Grace Lookingbill!

And now, less than a month after the birth of their daughter, the Lookingbill family will receive the keys to their new restaurant space within the Villages of Brunswick Forrest in the city of Leland, North Carolina. The photo attached shows their building in the final stages of preparation with a tenant hand-off date currently scheduled for next Monday, October 23, 2017. According to Sarah, "they still have things to do before the shell is complete, including enclosing windows, running electrical and completing concrete work." Given her long history with Shuckin' Shack, captured in this interview with Sarah & Mike from earlier in the year, we are certain this family will turn that empty shell into one of the most successful seafood restaurants in the 10 year history of the Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar & Sports Pub! Look for them to open to the public during the first quarter of 2018, or follow the Facebook page for "The Shack" of Leland to watch this new business AND this new family grow!
