Late in 2016, right after Sarah & Mike Lookingbill became first-time franchisees, we all had our sights set on opening their first Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar before the end of 2017. With Sarah's eight years of experience with operating the Carolina Beach Shuckin' Shack, not to mention having trained staff in all of the 12 locations open today, all felt certain we would be having a New Years Eve celebration in Leland this year. But clearly, as you'll see from the progress report photos attached, sometimes not everything goes as planned - especially when it comes to local permitting and commercial construction! We are very happy to announce that as you read this, concrete is being poured and by next week rough framing for walls will begin. While we all still have early 2018 on our schedules for this location, we encourage everyone to follow the Shuckin' Shack of Leland Facebook page to stay informed with updates, hiring opportunities and, eventually, public opening dates!

The prep work is complete and on Wednesday, December 6th, the Shuckin' Shack of Leland, North Carolina -within Brunswick Forest - is scheduled for concrete to be poured!
