The Power of a Franchisee Network
An advantage that comes from being awarded a franchise, as opposed to starting an independent business, is the power of repetition. While you may have never opened a particular type of business before or have little experience within a given industry, your franchise support team actually launches those business many times each year. Their prior experience at what it takes to have permits approved, to get the lights on and the kitchen cooking can save thousands of dollars and months of wasted time and frustration compared to someone attempting to go it alone.
An equally powerful franchise advantage is the network of other franchisees who have gone through the entire process of training, opening, hiring and firing staff and working with vendors to achieve the best possible pricing without compromising food quality. Our team believes that the network of existing Shuckin' Shack franchisees is a competitive advantage to the success of newest restaurants. For these reasons we just completed our first ever franchisee reunion, held in Raleigh, NC earlier in May. While all franchisees have an open call with our CEO once each week, this inaugural reunion gave all our franchisees the opportunity to put a face with the voice they may have spoken with or emailed before.
Shuckin' Shack Franchising CEO, Jonathan Weathington, said of the first franchisee reunion, "It's so important for all of our franchisees to be able to share their successes and challenges with one another. Because we have been in business for over a decade and now have a dozen restaurants operating, there probably will not be too many situations that arise for our franchisees that can't be resolved with candid dialogue. While continuing education is vital to the Shuckin' Shack brand, we also want to make sure that all channels are open for our franchisees so they are empowered to find their best business solutions quickly."
